De Dampkring is a coffeeshop with a special look and vibe, located in the Spui area. A scene from Ocean's Twelve was shot here, and even Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reported to be frequent visitors.

Its extraordinary décor makes Dampkring coffee shop stand out from the crowd. Both inside and outside are moulded, sculpted, studded and painted with bright colours. The overall effect is quite stunning, and this place has to be seen even if you don't stop.

They have an excellent menu and take pride in the quality of their product and the extensive variety on the menu. There is plenty of room inside with great music, and a licensed bar with beer and wine.

Trivia: A key scene for Ocean's Twelve, the sequel to the star-studded extravaganza Ocean's Eleven, was recorded in De Dampkring. The owner, Paul Wilhelm, told media the lead characters are no strangers there. "We have Brad Pitt in our store a few times a year," he said, "all incognito with a beanie and glasses. Just sitting there smoking some. We've had George Clooney in, too. They are just nice people."

There is a strand of weed sold there which is called "Ocean 12 Haze".
