Smoke Two Joints
The Toyes / Sublime

A quintessential ganja song, originally by reggae group The Toyes, but best known its cover version by Sublime (and not by Bob Marley, as commonly believed).
"Smoke Two Joints" is originally by reggae group The Toyes, but best known for having been covered by Sublime on their 1992 debut album "40 Oz. to Freedom". "Smoke Two Joints" was also the first Sublime song ever to be played on the radio.
The intro of the Sublime version contains a sample from the film Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, and then continues with the sounds of a bong and a lighter.
There is a persistent urban myth that the original version of the song was by Bob Marley. This is incorrect. Versions on P2P networks labeled as being performed by Marley are apparently live recordings of Sublime's version.
Lyrics
I smoke two joints in the morning
I smoke two joints at night,
I smoke two joints in the afternoon
and it makes me feel alright
smoke two joints in time of peace
and two in time of war
smoke two joints before i smoke two joints
and then i smoke some more
yeah thats what i do, hey
mama she always told me son you really have it bad
mama she always told me son you do the best you can
then one day i met a man she came to me and said
I work good and i work fine but first take care of him
I smoke two joints in the morning
I smoke two joints at night
I smoke two joints in the video game
and it mkes me feel alright
I smoke two joints in the time of peace
and two in time of war
smoke two joints before i smoke two joints
and then i smoke some more
ooh ooh ooh ooh
one peace one time
funny days, funny days
gimme that bassline
fellas fellas
