A cozy and quiet coffee shop with bar, precisely qualifies for the dutch word "gezellig". Located in the Centrum ,very close to the centraal station, this is a perfect place to start your weed tour.
Coffeeshop 36 is a great starting place to sit around quietly for an hour or two (or six), smoke, and look out the huge window. Average prices, cool music, and the ceiling is decorated with stars lit by UV.
The huge sign outside means you can't miss it. Coffeeshop 36 is constructed Amsterdam-style: long, narrow and dark. When you walk in, you can't even see the other end. Go up some steps and get to the long bar. "But where's the weed?", you ask. Worry not, just keep walking. Go down the stairs and up again, and you'll get to the dealer's booth. Make your choice (you can buy ready-made joints here in little cases colored by weed type), keep going inside down some more steps, and you'll find a cozy chillout area with tables and couches, and with a good view over the Damrak and canal.
