Baba Coffee Shop

A kind of oriental-oriented coffeeshop in one of the most central locations in central Amsterdam, good music, good weed and good view of the street. And it even has its own gift shop!
Baba Coffee Shop, right on the corner of Warmoesstraat and Oudebrugsteeg, just off the Damrak, is hard to miss. Giant hookahs, and a general Asian motif, decorate the whole place and are easily seen from outside. They have a great selection of weed, and also serve hash brownies.
Likewise, when you go in, you can peacefully look out on one of the busiest corners of the city through the big windows. There are comfortable seats right next to the window, so get one, when there is space, and watch the world go by. There is good electronic music (playing loudly most of the time), a cool ambience enhanced by the Asian-style decor, and a multi-national atmosphere. They also serve drinks and some munchies, and you can use some of the hookahs (but remember to wash them afterwards).

The coffee shop also has a nice souvenir shop further up the street, on Warmoesstraat 47. This is one of the best headshops in the centre, and it also sells seeds, mushrooms, etc.
